Following a geopolitical review, the board at Sampo Plc is suggesting separating the subsidiary Mandatum from the group.

According to Sampo's news, the board of directors proposes that the annual general meeting on May 17, 2023, as specified in the demerger system that was approved by the company on March 29th, be approved.

All of the shares in Mandatum Holding Ltd., a wholly-owned clear company of Sampo Plc, as well as corresponding assets and liabilities, will move in the demerger without the use of liquidation procedures to the entity known by the name of Mandanum Plco, which will be incorporated on the stated effective date of October 1, 2023.

Without Mandatum, a company that specializes in asset management and life insurance, Sampo would be left with Danish non-life insurer Topdanmark, digital general insurance provider Hastings, and If P & ampC Insurance in the Nordic region.

In the meantime, it was announced that for every existing show That or show B share in Sampo Plc, shareholders may get one new share of Mandatum plc as demerger consideration. Shares of Mandatum may be accepted for betting on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
