While appointing three executives who have joined the business unit leadership team, Chubb announced the name for its brand-new global climate business division, Chub Climate +.

Businesses engaged in creating or using new technologies and processes that support the transition to a low-carbon economy will receive insurance products and services from Chubb Climate +, which was introduced in January. In order to assist those managing the effects of climate change, the business unit also offers risk management and resilience products.

According to Matthew McMullin, head of Chubb Climate+ in North America, the new title and visual identity reflect the value proposition of our global climate business unit, which is about enabling climate change progress globally, at an industry level, and in local communities. We are combining our practices in traditional, alternative and renewable power, climate technology, agribusiness, and risk engineer services while drawing on Chubbs considerable technical capacities in underwriting.

According to Matthew Hardy, head of Chubb Climate + for the company's general insurance operations in 51 countries and territories outside of the U.S., Canada, and Bermuda, the benefit of climate + is that it will have a positive impact and add value for our clients across all industries as they move toward the low-carbon future and take action to be resilient to the threat of changing climate. We can scale to meet the expansion and requirements of clients, no matter how complicated, by providing a broad and extensive variety of danger transfer and danger engineering solutions.

On the Chubb Climate + leadership team, McMullin, Hardy, and Margaret Peloso, a global climate officer, have joined Jared Concannon, Melanie Markwick-Day, Maria Guercio.
