At the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations( CSIO ) recently held its 2023 Members Meeting and Reception. The party, which was held in person for the first time since 2019, honored the successes that CSIO and its customers were able to make over the previous 12 months.

The ongoing development of application programming interface ( API ) data standards to close the gap between broker management systems ( BMS ) and insurers systems is one such accomplishment.

The Innovation and Emerging Technology ( INNOTECH ) Committee and its working groups received praise from CSIO president and CEO Catherine Smola for creating these standards. For commercial automobiles with individual ratings ( IRCA ) and commercial general liability ( CGL ), they were able to publish API data standards in Java Script Object Notation ( JSON ) in 2022. To fully implement the 2022 API strategy, they already completed business requirements for 40 fresh employ cases.

Smola also praised the INNOTECH Advisory Committee for releasing the industry's's very API Security Standard, claiming that by giving insurers and suppliers a customizable regular that authenticates and authorizes agents to link with insurer systems via APIs, they helped to solve an important problem.

The Commercial Lines ( CL ) working group's's efforts to finalize requirements to bind multi-operations small commercial business, establish requirements for the small business real estate segment, and develop the CL Real-Time Quote Savings Calculator were among the accomplishments highlighted in Smolas remarks.

Smola also mentioned improvements to the digital document delivery service My Proof of Insurance, which now includes new functionality for sending digital proof of auto insurance( eSlips ) for garage policies as well as improved speed and security. She also praised CSIO's's achievements in professional development, saying that in 2022, there were a record 1, 400 system enrollments and more than 2, 000 conference attendees. In addition to the 211 members who received their CSIO modern member designation, this is.
