At the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations( CSIO ) recently held its 2023 Members Meeting and Reception. The party, which was held in person for the first time since 2019, honored the successes that CSIO and its customers were able to make over the previous 12 months.
The ongoing development of application programming interface ( API ) data standards to close the gap between broker management systems ( BMS ) and insurers systems is one such accomplishment.
The Innovation and Emerging Technology ( INNOTECH ) Committee and its working groups received praise from CSIO president and CEO Catherine Smola for creating these standards. For commercial automobiles with individual ratings ( IRCA ) and commercial general liability ( CGL ), they were able to publish API data standards in Java Script Object Notation ( JSON ) in 2022. She also praised CSIO's's achievements in professional development, saying that in 2022, there were a record 1, 400 system enrollments and more than 2, 000 conference attendees.
